Boxing legend blasts ‘little b—-‘ UFC boss

Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya has lashed out at UFC boss Dana White calling him a ‘little b—-‘ for not releasing MMA legend George St-Pierre for a cross-over boxing bout with the former champion turned promoter.

Upstart boxing promotion, Triller, is looking to stage a fight between the pair but can’t move forward without the UFC’s permission since St-Pierre is still contracted to the company despite not fighting in the UFC since 2017 and retiring from MMA. White blocked the move causing De La Hoya to go off.

The former world champion and promoter who recently split with the sport’s highest earner Canelo Alvarez, took his campaign for the fight to social media.

He blasted White even calling for a fight between the two.

“@danawhite Quit blocking @GeorgesStPierre’s chance to fight,” De La Hoya tweeted. “How about we get into the ring first little B–ch then after I kick your ass, I’ll fight a real man #DeLaHoyaGSP #LetGSPFight.”

St-Pierre confirmed this week that he wanted to fight De La Hoya and pointed to the UFC giving veteran Ben Askren permission to fight Jake Paul.

“I understand that Dana didn’t want me to fight,” St-Pierre told Cinema Blend. “However, it would have been fun.

“Because my career as a professional fighter, to become the best in the world in mixed martial arts, is done. … However, to rather fight a boxing match under the rules that Triller put on against the legendary Oscar De La Hoya?

“For me, it would have been a dream come true, because he is my second favorite boxer of all time, behind ‘Sugar’ Ray Leonard.”

Triller’s representatives told ESPN on that the company’s backers will pledge $1 million to the charity of UFC president Dana White’s choice if White clears St-Pierre to compete against De La Hoya.

Triller boss Ryan Kavanaugh said he will put up $250,000 of his own money and several others have come up with the other $750,000 for the offer.

White did address the situation at the UFC 262 post-fight news conference. White told reporters Kavanaugh won’t stop trying to get in touch with him but that he is ignoring his calls and texts because “they’re all full of s—.”
