Warriors workhorse hit with crushing injury news

The Warriors have copped a crushing blow with New Zealand international Tohu Harris being ruled out for the season after suffering an ACL rupture.

Second-rower Harris suffered the knee injury in the 12th minute of the Warriors’ 30-16 loss to the Panthers in Brisbane on Sunday.

The New Zealand club was hit the hardest of any on the injury front in Round 18, with rugby-bound superstar Roger Tuivasa-Sheck also suffering a concussion, hooker Wayde Egan succumbing to a shoulder injury and centre Rocco Berry pulling a hamstring.

It’s uncertain how long Tuivasa-Sheck and Berry will be sidelined, but the Warriors are resigned to Egan facing an extended period out of the game.

Harris, 29, is linked to the Warriors until the end of 2024 after signing a new three-year deal in March.

The former Storm back-rower played 16 Tests for the Kiwis between 2013 and 2016.
