YouTuber’s robot stunt turns heads at fiery presser

YouTube star Jake Paul has been accompanied by a giant robot during his official pre-fight press conference ahead of his clash with UFC great Tryon Woodley.

In celebrity boxing’s latest chapter, it’s been announced that the YouTube-star-turned-prizefighter will fight Woodley in Paul’s hometown of Cleveland on August 29.

The pair fronted media today for their official pre-fight press conference with some heated words exchanged on stage, including a bizarre tattoo bet for the loser of the fight.

But perhaps what attracted most attention was Paul’s unmissable towering robot bodyguard standing behind him throughout proceedings.

‘The Problem Bot’, as it has become known, is Paul’s official fight mascot – a play on his nickname ‘The Problem Child’.

It accompanied him ahead of his fight with UFC great Ben Askren earlier this year, walking out with the YouTuber as he took to the ring.

Paul stopped Askren in less than one round in April. It was a commendable win which took his pro record to 3-0.

A fight with Woodley is undoubtedly the biggest challenge in Paul’s burgeoning combat sports career to date. The former UFC welterweight champion is famed for his strength and striking ability which ensured a three-year reign atop his division with the UFC.

However, Woodley’s UFC career recently came to an end after a four-fight losing skid. He holds a professional MMA record of 19-7-1, with seven by way of knockout.

Paul vs. Woodley will be contested at 190 pounds under boxing rules.
